    Alaska Run for Women, plus fairs and music abound as summer hits full swing

    Clinton Fearon, 7 p.m. Thursday-Saturday, Creekbend Company in Hope

    The Seattle-based reggae singer has a new album released last week, “Breaking News,” and is performing a three-night stand in Alaska. Tickets are $15 for the Thursday show, $20 for individual weekend shows and $45 for a three-day pass.

    Unknowns & SoBroSol, 4:30 p.m. Friday, Anchorage Museum lawn, 625 C St.

    The Anchorage Summer Arts in the Park series continues this Friday with music from the Unknowns at 4:30 p.m., followed by a performance of “In The Heights” by SoBroSol at 6 p.m. in Town Square Park.

    Stone in Love Journey Tribute, 5 p.m. Friday, Matanuska Brewing in Eagle River, 11901 Old Glenn Highway

    Journey tribute band Stone in Love is performing a concert at Matanuska Brewing in Eagle River on Friday, with fire pits, ax throwing and a huge beer garden. Tickets cost $32, but include four $8 drink tickets. Gates open at 5 p.m. and the music starts at 6 p.m.

    Three Barons Renaissance Fair, Saturday-Sunday, 3400 E. Tudor Road

    The Three Barons Renaissance Fair is in Anchorage for two more days, and this weekend the theme is fantasy. Choose your court — red, green, or blue — and cheer them on during contests, performances and the tournament of champions. More information and tickets at the fair’s website.

    Alaska Run for Women, 8:30 a.m. Saturday, UAA campus

    The Alaska Run for Women raises funds and awareness for breast cancer and women’s health with a 5-mile timed and untimed run and a 1-mile untimed run/walk. Each wave will start on Alumni Drive near the UAA Fine Arts building. The Run for Women is a whole-day event, with yoga at 7:30 a.m. before the race to warm up, entertainment throughout the course and a post-race rooftop party. There will be booths, a raffle, prize giveaways and lots of women supporting women.

    United We Stand Pre-Juneteenth BIPOC Health Fair, 11 a.m. Saturday, Delaney Park Strip

    A week ahead of Juneteenth, the Alaska Black Caucus is hosting a BIPOC health fair with special guest Dr. Jerome Adams, former U.S. surgeon general. There will be free health screenings, food trucks, prizes and more, from 11 a.m. until 4 p.m.

    Mountain Bike for Women Festival, 11 a.m. Saturday, Kincaid Park, 9401 Raspberry Road

    The Mountain Bike for Women Festival is a place to meet fellow crushers, find friends at the same level as you, share your love of mountain biking and learn new skills, all in the same place. There will be 90-minute clinics to learn riding skills, as well as maintenance practices. There will be vendors and a massage area, community fun and child care from Into the Woods (space limited).

    Irish Dance Academy of Alaska, 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Town Square Park, 544 W. Fifth Ave.

    In collaboration with the Anchorage Summer Arts in the Park series, the Irish Dance Academy of Alaska will be performing on Saturday afternoon in Town Square Park.

    Downtown Jazz in the Park, 4 p.m. Saturday, Peratrovich Park, 500 W. Fourth Ave.

    Downtown Jazz in the Park continues this Saturday, in conjunction with the Anchorage Downtown Partnership and the AK Jazz Workshop. This week, Downtown Jazz in the Park will feature performances from Mark Manners, JD, Dirk-ok, Bob Arms, and Pat Owen.

    Radiance, 7 p.m. Saturday, Alaska Cannabis Exchange, 2906 Spenard Road

    Check out the backyard at the Alaska Cannabis Exchange for a one-day summer concert with local talents like Posterchild, Quinoa, The Guest List, D. Church, and Rachel Monae to kick off the summer. Tickets for Radiance are $20, and the event starts at 7 p.m.

    Lilac with Sample_Text, 8 p.m. Saturday, Cafecito Bonito, 6307 DeBarr Road

    Local bands putting on live music at a local business, can it get any better than this? Join Lilac and Sample_Text at Cafecito Bonito Saturday night for good vibes and fun company. Tickets are $10; bring your dancing shoes!
